Fairy and her friends at Dandenong Dental Care are busy in the community dispensing dental education and more! We attend kindergarten classes and childcare centres to do fun and informative workshops. This is one of the ways Dandenong Dental Care is able to forge strong connections in the community and promote good oral health habits to children.
Our team is passionate about providing gentle dental care to our youngest patients. We enjoy helping little ones from the beginning of their oral health care journey to make sure they achieve and maintain beautiful, healthy smiles.
Each visit from Fairy or her friends includes the following:
Engaging lessons about oral health designed for kids
Teaching kids how to brush properly
Helping kids to get to know people they will meet at the dentist
Learning that the dentist office isn’t “scary”
A free goodie bag
One of the best ways to ensure children get their oral health off to a great start is by bringing them into the practice for their first dental checkup as soon as their baby teeth begin to emerge (typically between 6 and 18 months).
At a child’s initial visit we will be evaluating their teeth, gums and development patterns. As good oral hygiene habits are essential, we will also educate parents and children (when they’re old enough) on how to keep their pearly whites healthy through brushing, flossing and choosing tooth-friendly foods.
It’s our desire that every child has access to the dental care they need. That’s why we proudly accept the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). This program provides financial support of up to $1000 for basic dental services for children between 2 and 17 years of age who are eligible.
We can’t wait to help you learn more about oral health!
